The Lies of Handy Manny

So I'm zoning out the other day and have Disney's "Handy Manny" on the tube- the girls are watching it. I rarely pay attention to the content of the cartoons that are usually playing in the background, but for some reason I was taking in the plot of this particular episode.

Manny is a Mr. Fix-It with a box of talking tools that help him go around his town and fix things. It's deep.

This episode Manny needs to help Mr Kumar install a big moving teacup sign outside his store.... This sign would never meet local zoning codes- it's enormous!

They get to the shop and Manny realizes there is no outdoor electrical outlet therefore he simply can't install the sign. No can do. It's a hot day and Manny looks at the sun and realizes that solar power is the solution. He buys a solar panel at the local hardware store, puts it on the roof and installs the 1-story teacup at the top of the building. Hooray!!

His tools say "we never would have been able to put up Mr. Kumar's moving sign if it wasn't for solar power"

Manny says "that's true".

No- Manny-that's a lie. Perhaps you need to go back to trade school and learn how to install an outdoor electrical outlet.

Ugh. Liberal cartoon indoctrination- a daily thing.

And let's not forget the "green tips" they're running now in between cartoons...

"Liberal cartoon indoctrination- a daily thing."

That's only been going on for decades ;) I'm sure it's worse now, but it's not a new concept.

Of course, it's not just the cartoons... it's in everything from CBS adult drama shows to big Hollywood movies and all kinds of other stuff in between. There are always Federal Agents saving the day or solving this and that. Most of the time they should have zero jurisdiction to be involved in the episode. Then you have shows like CSI taking real-world crimes from the news and tinkering with the race or motive of the perps to make them "politically correct" according to some liberal producer/director/writers. Let's see, in the real world some drugged up black lady hits a pedestrian and leaves him to bleed to death in her garage after she drove home with him stuck in her windshield. Well, we better write an episode where it's some rich white yuppy who's too heartless to call the police after he does the same thing.

Yes, Sheila, it's all around us.
My husband is contantly brining up the liberal spin on every TV show I watch and it gets annoying.

But, the other day Disney had a 3-4 minute infommercial on how all the Disneys stars, Jonas Bros, Hannah, Selina Gomez were banding together to save our earth.

After it was over, my 6 year old turned to me and said what is wrong with the earth, mama and why do we have to save it? I said there is nothing wrong with the earth. If we are just good people and don't litter and recycle and do the things we should that is all we need to worry about.

But you would have to be right next to them day and night to refute the constant indoctrination.
